Ayer 5 de diciembre cumplía 83 añazos Richard Wayne Penniman, o lo que es lo mismo; Little Richard. Figura clave para la aparición y desarrollo del "rock & roll" y uno de los artistas que más ha influenciado ya no solo musicalmente, si no en cuestión de espectáculo (e incluso estéticamente) a generaciones venideras.
Su vida, como la de muchos músicos negros, es una continua sucesión de situaciones limite pero donde la música se acaba abriendo paso, como si fuera cosa del destino, como si estuviera escrito en algún lugar que debía acabar siendo artista. Incluso siendo ya un reconocido músico, llegar a tener una de esas visiones y cambiar su vida, aunque fuera por poco tiempo. De verdad merece la pena leer sobre su vida.
Felicitar a Little Richard y felicitarnos a nosotros mismos por haber tenido la suerte de tenerle.
