La Canción De La Semana "BEFORE I LET YOU GO" Blackstreet

Teddy Riley es un genio. Con tan solo 21 años componía y producía el single "My Prerogative" de Bobby Brown, la que se considera primera canción del género New Jack Swing de la historia. Este estilo musical combinaba melodías de rhythm & blues con ritmos mas bailables y potentes. En ese mismo 1988 creaba su primer grupo (Guy) que acabaría por establecer definitivamente el New Jack Swing, que reinaría en las listas americanas hasta los primeros años 90. Su colaboración con Michael Jackson en el álbum "Dangerous" hizo que el New jack Swing fuera conocido en todo el mundo.

En 1994 crea su segunda banda; Blackstreet y edita un Lp con el mismo título. Dentro de ese álbum junto con temas rápidos hay 3 o 4 baladas que son una auténtica delicia y es precisamente una de ellas la que quiero destacar hoy.

"Before I Let You Go", cantada por el GRAN Dave Hollister (que luego tendría una carrera en solitario) fue editado en single llegando al #7 en la lista pop del Billboard.

En el vídeo de la canción aparecen Shari Headley (Lisa McDowell en"El Principe de Zamunda) y Omar Epps (Doctor Foreman en "House").
