Existen canciones que logran quedarse para siempre, consiguen su sitio en la historia y en la vida de cada uno de nosotros, a pesar de no haber sido un super éxito en su momento. Es el caso de la canción de esta semana; "Wonderful Life" de la banda inglesa Black. Fue editada en un primer momento como single en 1985 cuando el grupo pertenecía a una pequeña compañía discográfica y la canción pasó prácticamente desapercibida (#72 en la lista inglesa).
Dos años mas tarde Black firmaba por la multinacional EMI y re-editaba el single que está vez lograría colarse en el Top-10 (#8) y ser un relativo hit en media Europa. Aún así tenemos la sensación de que fue un pelotazo... y es que tal vez sea su calidad musical la que, en nuestra mente, nos diga que ese tema debió estar mas arriba y nos tenga equivocados.
Si la nostalgia y la melancolía tuvieran un sonido ese sería el de esta canción, además con el video en blanco y negro te transporta a otras épocas mas felices (es del verano de 1987) y la letra habla de esa soledad a veces necesaria que te hace pararte a disfrutar de cosas tan simples y a la vez tan importantes.
Y si, "no hay razón para correr ni esconderse, ni para reír o llorar, es una vida maravillosa..."
